Hewlett-Packard (HP) will shift its business focus in the Taiwan printer market to managed print service (MPS), with an aim to increase its share of the local MPS market from 22% currently to 50% in three years, surpassing Sharp and Fuji Xerox to become the largest vendor, according to Imaging & Printing general manager Edwin Huang for HP Taiwan.
The local MPS market is estimated at NT$5 billion (US$149 million) a year, Huang said.
HP Taiwan said it will target insurance companies, banks, securities and financial companies as well as government organizations for MPS promotion.
