Taiwan-based TFT-LCD panel maker Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) has landed orders for smaller-size TV panels from China TV vendors Konka and Hisense, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

CPT will start volume shipment to the China vendors in the second quarter, the report published on April 27 in the Taiwan-based newspaper said, adding the company expects to ship eight million 18.5-inch and 21.6-inch LCD TV panels this year.

CPT estimates its 6G plants to reach 100% utilization in the third quarter amid increasing demand for small- to medium-size panels, the report added.
