
Taiwan's unemployment rate continued to edge up to 5.81% in March, up from 5.75% in February and 3.86% a year ago, according to statistics published by the government's Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).
Last month, the number of people out of work rose 1.02% sequentially and 51.17% on year to 630,000, data released by DGBAS show.
The rise in Taiwan's unemployment rate slowed down in March, compared to February when the rate climbed 0.44 percentage points sequentially and 1.81 percentage points on year.
