Shanda (Nasdaq:SNDA) plans to begin open beta testing of its in-house developed online music game
Super Star
on April 28. During open beta, the game will include video zones featuring content from Zhejiang Satellite TV's singing contest "Wo Shi Da Ping Wei" and allow gamers to become judges for the TV show. Shanda has also partnered with Jiangsu Satellite TV to add a system to link gamers to televised celebrities. New songs, playing modes and virtual items will also be added to the game during testing. The game's producer Zhao Yurun said an online radio PK system will be added to the game in May. Super Star entered closed beta on January 24.
