Home appliance and electronics retailer Suning (002024.SZ) broke ground on the future home of the company's first self-built store, Suning Plaza, in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on April 16, reports The Beijing News. A chief at Suning headquarters said the company intends to duplicate the business model nationwide. Building our own stores can reduce costs and avoid rental risks to increase individual store performance, said Suning Vice President Jiang Yong. Suning Plaza is expected to be under construction for about two years, the report said.
