China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, 941.HK) announced internally that it is developing a "family TD-SCDMA plan," including cell phone packages, a home security system and handset location tracking, reports DoNews quoting an unnamed source. The family service also offers TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode "fixed line" terminals, TD-SCDMA home network cards, a combined fixed line/network card product, walkie-talkies, mobile newspapers and color ring back tones (CRBT), said the source. Other related products are under development, the source said.

China Mobile plans to partner service providers for new information services and will share 30-50% of information fees, said the source. Manufacturers will take charge of developing terminals with specified functions and models, and provincial subsidiaries will then select which models they will purchase, according to the source.
