Intel will cooperate with notebook maker Compal Electronics and chipset maker Silicon Integrated System (SiS) to launch 12- to 14-inch white-box notebooks, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

The planned notebooks will target consumers who have no experience in using computers and will have a price slightly higher than those of local China makers. Monthly shipments are expected to reach 30,000 units in the second quarter this year, added the paper.
