Taiwan-based network equipment makers are eyeing the telecom sector in China to sustain their growth this year as sales to emerging markets have been affected by the recent sharp appreciation of the US dollar, according to sources at Taiwan network equipment makers.

While Sercomm has been focusing on ADSL router orders being released from China Telecom and China Unicom, D-Link is reportedly tapping the TD-SCDMA 3G data card market in cooperation with domestic vendors in China, the sources noted. D-Link has already launched WCDMA 3G data cards.
