ZTE Corporation took home its share of accolade, as the company displayed its next generation intelligent Converged Transport Network (iCTN) solution and flagship product – the ZTE’s new generation converged optical transport equipment ZXONE 5800, at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 09.

The Chinese telecom company’s iCTN solution, addressing the demands of the IP trend of mobile network evolution and full service operation, incorporates both optical transport platform and next-generation packet bearing technology. The technology will help operators cut down on network development and operating costs, and protect operators’ investment, by taking care of various challenges posed during service development and seamlessly conforming to changing stages of long-term network process, said the company.

Its flagship solution, ZXONE 5800 can be applied to metro core and long-haul backbone network. It empowers operators to transcend from 2G/3G / fixed network to LTE / FMC operation and offers advanced electromechanical management system.

Further, the iCTN solution, with its multi-use mode of a single physical board, allows operators render a flat, flexible, low-cost, power-saving, eco-friendly and ultra-high bandwidth core transmission network, claimed ZTE.
