Following the company’s recent sales and supply contracts, Australia-based Polartechnics has re-commenced the delivery of -TruScreen, the cervical cancer screening test in China and India.

Of the 100 screening units being shipped this month, 50 are going to the China Women’s Doctor Association’s screening program across China, while 50 are going to India to satisfy Indian hospital contracts recently won by Polartechnics’ Indian distributors in tenders.

Mr Robert Hunter, Chairman, Polartechnics, said, “In November 2008 the company’s TruScreen consumable production reached over 1000 units per day on successive days and is programmed for scalable growth. This follows an extensive manufacturing validation exercise to address production issues post start-up earlier this year and has lifted Polartechnics’ confidence in meeting the 2009 targets.”

Polartechnics’ China contracts alone are expected to generate recurring sales of $10 million a year in consumables, based upon the installed hospital user base being established in 2009.

According to the company, this will make Polartechnics cash flow positive and this revenue is expected to be match other markets under development, including India, Korea and Eastern Europe.

“We are now gaining a sustainable delivery pipeline following the signing of scalable supply contracts in China, Malaysia and Poland to satisfy the demand we are now seeing for our state of the art products” Mr Hunter added.
