Apple Inc, a U.S.-based multinational corporation with a focus on designing and manufacturing consumer electronics and software products, won a lawsuit on trademark and logo infringements against the Shenzhen-based New Apple Concept Digital Technology Co Ltd.
The U.S. company has found New Apple Concept using the name of Apple and the pattern similar to Apple's logo.
The Chinese company is ordered by the local court to pay RMB 400,000 as compensation to Apple, which has registered their trademark and the Apple logo as early as 1993, when the company started operations in China.
In July, Apple opened its first flagship store in Beijing's Sanlitun entertainment district. It is also the U.S. company's 219th outlet worldwide.
