On October 29, 2008, Ministry of Water Resources of China and State Hydrometeorological Administration of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea signed Minutes of Hydrological cooperation in Yalu River and Tumen River in Pyongyang.

In Pyongyang, the delegates of Ministry of Water Resources of China held a work meeting with the counterparts of State Hydrometeorological Administration of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. During the meeting, the both sides informed the hydrologic data of boundary water and the cooperation in the field of hydrology, and exchanged views and reached agreements in the aspects of improving monitoring capacity of flood-reporting of boundary water, intensifying project cooperation in hydrological measuring and reporting of boundary water, and technician training, etc.

The two sides are both satisfied with the achievements in the hydrological science and technology cooperation in the recent years, and expressed to further enlarge the bilateral cooperation and communication in this field. 

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Liu Ning, Chief Engineer of Ministry of Water Resources of China, signed the Minutes on Hydrological Cooperation in Yalu River and Tumen River with the Director-General of State Hydrometerological Administration of Democratic People's Republic of Kerea.
