On November 4, Minister Chen Lei met with Ms. Paula Lehtomäki, Minister of Environment of Finland.

Minister Chen expressed his warm welcome to Ms. Paula Lehtomäki and made a brief introduction of achievements and challenges of water development in China. Moreover, he also reviewed the communication and cooperation between China and Finland in the fields of water resources management, water environment protection, etc, and proposed some suggestions to further enhance the bilateral cooperation.

Ms. Paula Lehtomäki introduced the current environment management situation and public participation mode of environment management in Finland, and agreed to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation between two countries in the fields of water environment and water technologies.

Mr. Antti Kuosmanen, Ambassador of Finland to China, and other related officials from Ministry of Environment of Finland and Ministry of Water Resources of China also attended the meeting.
